MEET THE CAST of Michael Frayn’s ‘Noises Off’:


MAREE KENNEDY as Dotty Otley

Maree has been involved in theatre for ‘longer than she can remember’! And most of her oldest and dearest friends were formed during those hours of rehearsal.

Maree’s involvement with BTC dates back to 1995, with ‘The Sentimental Bloke’. Since then, Maree has been involved in an impressive list of productions, including: ‘Guys and Dolls’, ‘Carousel’, ‘Rough Justice’, ‘The Winters Tale’,‘Last Tango in Little Grimley’ and ‘Last Panto in Little Grimley’.

She has served as a Production Manager (‘Animal Farm’) and a Director; her credits including ‘Deathtrap’ and ‘The Importance of Being Ernest’.
Maree played a major role in the creation and running of ‘Horizons Drama School’ for BTC.

Throughout her years at BTC, she served on the Committee for five years, including a stint as Treasurer.

One of Maree’s career highlights was directing ‘The Laramie Project’ for Eagle Eyed Productions.
Outside of Bendigo, Maree has performed as ‘The Wizard of Oz’ as ‘The Wicked Witch of the West’; in ‘Westside Story’, ‘Grease’, ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, ‘Calamity Jane’, ‘Cosi’, ‘Rio Rita’ and ‘South Pacific’. She has also directed many Pantomimes and Christmas specials outside of Bendigo.

Maree is thrilled to be back in “Beautiful Bendigo” performing in ‘Noises Off’, a play that she’s always thought is “one of the funniest plays going around”.
