CHRIS PEDLER as LLOYD DALLAS
While not as theatrically experienced as some of his co-stars, Chris Pedler has a great passion for community theatre.
As a small boy, Chris followed his father Jonathan Pedler to many rehearsals and shows. He mostly ran lines with his dad but was also a bit of a nuisance backstage.
Chris first took to the stage while in university. In 2003 he was part of Ballarat National Theatre’s season of short plays, where he had a role in The Trysting Place and performed at the Royal South Street Competition. He was again with BNT in 2008 for their production of ‘Noises Off’ as the ever-reliable Tim.
In his first outing with BTC, Chris was in ‘A Foundling’ and ‘Flowers’ in a series Daniel Keene’s one-act plays ‘The Meeting Place’ in 2011. He returned in 2014 for the very fun BTC production of ‘Turning Tables’.
Outside of theatre, Chris is the entertainment journalist at the Bendigo Advertiser, where he gets to review the latest films, interview musicians and follow all the theatre news in Bendigo.
BTC’s production of ‘Noises Off’ sees Chris return to one of his favourite plays. He is enjoying taking on the frustrated, sarcastic and pretentious director Lloyd Dallas.
