SAARI FROCHOT-RYAN as BROOKE ASHTON
Saari Frochot-Ryan loves performing and takes every opportunity to do so. Last year alone she starred in 4 musicals for 3 different companies throughout the Bendigo & Castlemaine region. She recently had the most fun she has ever had on stage playing the fabulous Velma Kelly in ‘Chicago’.
Saari has studied Music Theatre through Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance and internationally at The Forum in Malmö, Sweden. She has also attended acting workshops through Drama Australia, the Victorian College of the Arts and more recently at ArtsEd London.
Awards include a nomination for best singing in a musical (female) for her portrayal of the Disney princess Belle in ‘Beauty & the Beast’ and in this same role Saari won the title of best performance in a musical (female). Last year she was commended by the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria as female performer in a supporting role for her performance as ‘Lucy the Slut’ in ‘Avenue Q’.
Saari’s main background is dance and she is particularly fond of Burlesque, a highlight being her performance in Paris earlier this year at La Manafacture, where she appeared as an international guest artist.
She is the owner of Z Fit Studios, a dance fitness studio that specialise in adult dance fitness – everything from Pole dance to Zumba and Yoga and Adult Ballet, Jazz, Tap & more.
Saari’s is currently working on her own one woman cabaret show scheduled for performance at the end of this year. It has a working title of ’30’.
Saari jumped at the opportunity to play the character Brooke in ‘Noises Off’ when she found out she got to spend most of her time on stage in her underwear! She has since discovered in some ways she is very much like Brooke: easily distracted, often in her own little world & at times rather vague! She looks forward to sharing the comedy of ‘Noises Off’ with an audience.
